Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lauren Bishop and I am entering my eleventh year of teaching and my seventh year at EHS. I am an '06 graduate of Escanaba High School, after which I obtained an associate's degree at Bay College. I transferred to Lake Superior State University where I graduated with a BA in English literature and secondary education. I did my student teaching at Sault High and taught there for three years after graduation, teaching not only English but also world history and drama. I moved back to Escanaba to be closer to my family and was thankfully able to work at Big Bay de Noc school in Garden, MI before being hired at EHS. I am also an adjunct instructor at Bay College. As a former student, I know how amazing the administration, staff, and the school itself are.
I graduated with an MA in English Literature in 2016 and am so excited to continue to share the knowledge I obtained as a grad student to my own students. Throughout my studies, I focused on the classes that would help me become a better teacher. In my free time
, I like to read almost anything, listen to podcasts obsessively, hang out with my animals, and go on adventures with my husband and daughter.
